DEPOSITS AND PAYMENTS
A deposit of $600 per person is required at time of booking. A further payment of $350 is required at 150 days prior to departure. Final payment for all land and air arrangements will be due 90 days prior to travel, unless otherwise stated in your specific booking form. Airlines do not guarantee ticket prices until tickets are paid for; therefore quoted prices for airline tickets are subject to variation until ticketed. If ticketing occurs prior to usual final payment date the full price of the ticket including taxes is due at that time. All costs are accurate at time of travel arrangement; however as many arrangements are made well in advance of travel any fluctuations in exchange rates or costs received by South American Natural Adventures may result in changed pricing; such reasonable changes are expressly agreed to by you. Some programs sold by South American Natural Adventures may have minimum numbers, and may be subject to cancellation or re-pricing if numbers fall below the minimum; for this program this minimum number is 12. Please note that in some circumstances such re-pricing is part of the tour agreement and does not justify withdrawal from the tour.

All cancellations must be made in writing and are effective upon receipt in our office. The following fees apply and are per person:

$150 from time of booking until 180 days prior to departure, plus any additional cancellation fees imposed by suppliers

South American Natural Adventures will make good faith efforts to secure refunds from its travel suppliers, and these will be refunded to you subject to the above penalties and at South American Natural Adventures’ discretion. Please note that no claim is made that such refunds will be available or made.

Many tour suppliers reserve the right to cancel any tour. Should a tour be cancelled, South American Natural Adventures will inform you of any such cancellation when we are so informed, subject to reasonable working delay. Under such circumstances the supplier will usually refund the full trip cost; however any additional costs such as non-refundable air tickets or penalties, insurance and additional incurred costs are not refundable by either the supplier or South American Natural Adventures. Under these circumstances South American Natural Adventures will waive its usual cancellation fees.

Transfers of tours or other travel arrangements to different dates are subject to a 5% transfer fee, plus any fees or penalties imposed by tour suppliers, hotels, airlines etc.

AIRLINE TICKETING
South American Natural Adventures and its affiliates act as agents only for airline carriers; all tickets are subject to the rules, restrictions and penalties of the individual carrier. Please note that international and overseas airlines may have different rules, restrictions and responsibilities to those based in the US. Changes made after tickets are issued are subject to penalties. If a non-refundable ticket is purchased or a ticket subject to airline penalties is purchased and there are subsequent changes, all fees are the responsibility of the traveler. Air arrangements made by South American Natural Adventures have been designed to allow for legal and comfortable connection times; however we are not responsible for missed connections and any subsequent travel arrangements and/or costs necessary to continue with your travel arrangements. Where US domestic tickets are issued in conjunction with international tickets any missed connections due to airline delays or weather are usually dealt with by the delivering airline; in most cases they will assist you in making a connection that will help you get to your destination. If not please contact us for further assistance.

TRAVEL DOCUMENTS
A US passport valid for 6 months beyond your planned return date is essential. US citizens require a visa, current cost $100, to enter Brazil for up to 5 years (90 days for certain Brazilian Consulate jurisdictions; please check with your local Brazilian Consulte for full details as these requirements are subject to change). For information regarding visas and to obtain application details, contact the Brazilian consulate in New York (tel. 917-777-7777; www.brazilny.org), Los Angeles (tel. 213-651-2664), or Miami (tel. 305-285-6200; www.brazilmiami.org). Allow 3 weeks for visas to be issued by mail, which also incurs an additional processing fee of $12. South American Natural Adventures can process your information for an additional fee of $35. Visas can be issued within a couple of days if applied for in person. NOTE: first entry into Brazil must be within 90 days of visa issuance, but visas are good for multiple entries over 5 years. For those with non-US passports, please contact a Brazilian Consulate for appropriate requirements. If you are traveling with minors you should contact your international carrier for specific requirements; usually a notarized letter from the parent(s) and suitable photo ID is required. For safety and ease of travel we strongly recommend minors have their own passport; please contact the appropriate embassy for acceptability if you have a family passport.

HEALTH REQUIREMENTS
No specific health requirements are necessary for Brazil unless you have been in yellow fever areas within 5 days of entry into Brazil, or are entering from Ecuador, Peru, Colombia or Bolivia. Please make us aware if you have been in such areas, however it is the responsibility of the traveler to be aware of any restrictions that may apply, and take measures accordingly. No refunds will be given for refusal of entry due to these circumstances. The CDC website - www.cdc.gov/travel/tropsam.htm#country - has current information regarding health precautions for travel to Brazil.

As we cannot know your personal medical condition, you here certify that you are aware of the activities included in this tour/travel and are capable of participating in them.
