Oceania Cruises is one of our favorite cruise companies, luxury cruises with usually all day in port, and when their tours first open up often remarkably affordable. Right now there are cabins for their South American (and European) cruises that are a fabulous price. For example, a 13 day cruise from Buenos Aires to Rio, with all day - 8am to 6pm in each port (so many cruises only have a few hours) for just $3299 - including free air from about 12 US cities. This is a full service, luxury cruise, not a bare bones sailing meant to separate you from us much money as possible during the time aboard, rather than give you an enjoyable and relaxing cruise; this is the opposite of a cruise to nowhere. AUSTRALIA & NEW ZEALAND

We've pretty much given up listing air deals for these two countries (but not quite; see below), as they are coming up often for just a week, or less, but others for a month or so. We feel this will continue through 2010 as V Australia and Delta have entered the transPacific market, and the economic slump forces airlines to become very competitive to fill seats, but we've seen prices going up, so think hard and fast now. Our office keeps track of all specials, so please call for deals. Remember to have your preferred dates, as these are important with respect to what fare is offered. And don't forget, an advertised fare might not be available for the day you wish to travel, but might be on other days.

Air Pacific, Fiji'si national carrier, has some very good fares from $650* to Australia and Fiji, and a deal where kids fly free. Time for booking and traveling are limited, so call us for full details.

QANTAS PREMIUM ECONOMY EVEN CHEAPER!!!

Qantas has some great deals on Premium Economy and Business - some of these fares are only half what they were at the beginning of the year. For example, there are Business fares from about $4500* and Premium Economy from $2298*. Business requires a 50 day advance purchase.V Australia also has some very good advance purchase fares available year round from about $4500 mid week and $4950 weekend, including taxes Air New Zealand also comes up with some great prices to Australia and New Zealand. V Australia has good Economy fares from a variety of US cities now due to its interline agreement with Delta.

Fare from as little as $999 (low season) for which you get a round trip ticket to Australia from Los Angeles ($1199 from New York; other cities also available) plus three additional Qantas flights within Australia. The Australian flights are restricted to various cities within zones; for additional charges these zones can be extended all the way to Perth. There is a pretty good selection of cities all around Australia, including the Whitsunday Islands. Naturally, there are seasonal surcharges, seats are not necessarily available on every flight, and taxes and fees are additional.
